Union City, Tenn.—Clerks at two Union City convenience stores were cited for selling alcohol to minors Friday evening.
Cited were Tiffany Gamble, age 29, of Union City, working at Maverick store at 420 E. Reelfoot Ave., and Heather Minor, age 29, of Union City, working at the Marathon store at 1215 S. Miles Ave.
A subject under 21 years old assisted the Union City Police Department with compliance checks Friday night and was able to make alcohol purchases at both stores. Both clerks were issued misdemeanour citations for unlawful sale of alcohol to a person under 21 years old.
