French: Tax Deadline Is Next Week

Paris, Tenn.—Henry County Trustee Randi French reminds everyone that the Feb. 28, 2017 tax deadline is almost here.
The Trustee’s Office will be open for your convenience Saturday Feb. 24, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Payments for county taxes can be made during the trustee office’s regular hours of 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. There is also a drop box for after-hours payments on the front of the building.  There also is a payment option as well as tax information and a place where you can make a copy of your tax bill or tax receipt on our website henrycountytrustee.com.
Payments also can be mailed to P.O. Box 776, Paris
Payments that are being mailed must be post marked by Feb. 28, 2017 to avoid any added interest.
French encourages you to bring all notices in with you or put them with your payment when you drop them in the mail or the night deposit box.  “This allows us to get your payment in quickly so that you don’t have to wait and there is no confusion on which parcel you are paying on.”
As always the trustees’ office is accepting partial payments and is signing up those that are interested in taking advantage of our ACH bank draft.
Please read over your Tax Notices carefully as there is important information on the back of the notice about Tax Relief.  Taxpayers can learn more about that program by visiting the office.
2016 Tax notices will become delinquent March 1, 2018 and will be turned over to the delinquent tax attorney for collections.
