Paris, Tenn.—The total raised so far in the Henry County Helping Hand Radio Auction is now at $232,553, with the $$4,269 raised Friday by REAL Hope Youth Center, Easton’s Angels, Friends of McNeill Park and the Salvation Army.
Saturday will be a big day, with Henry County Medical Center pooling its resources and donating items for two auctions, both of which will be broadcast on our stations.
The afternoon auction begins at noon and is aired on WTPR 710 AM. The evening auction begins at 6:30 p.m. and is broadast on KQ 105.5 FM.
Helping Hand is held every week day and Saturdays during January and February and is held in the Enoch Building at the county fairgrounds.
Last year, over $350,000 was raised, all of which is distributed to local non-profit organizations. Helping Hand is operated totally by a small army of volunteers.
The auction continues through February 28.
