Dresden, Tenn.—The Weakley County Sheriff’s Office has issued warrants for Travis L. Streeter after he led officers on a chase that moved from Greenfield to Martin, running officers off the road and almost hitting a Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper.

Streeter already had an arrest warrant on him for violation of probation from a previous arrest on meth charges.

The new warrants are for several charges of aggravated assault, evading arrest, reckless endangerment and reckless driving.

The incident began Wednesday afternoon when a Greenfield Police Officer saw Streeter and attempted to stop him because he was aware of the active felony warrant. Streeter took off and was clocked on radar driving close to 100 mph on Greenfield Hwy. 54.
According to Weakley County Sheriff Captain Randall McGowan, Streeter drove through several side streets in Greenfield before heading to Sharon on Hwy. 54.

Deputies met Streeter near Sharon and attempted to stop him. Streeter continued into Martin, where he forced a Trooper off the Skyhawk Parkway. He was clocked at 80 mph nar the Huddle House in Martin, McGowan said.

Streeter continued driving on back roads north of Martin, then drove back into Martin, speeding on numerous city streets. A State Trooper attempted to place spike strips on East Main Street, but Streeter almost hit him with his car.

McGowan said at this point, Streeter began running stop signs and it was determined the pursuit should be stopped for public safety. Streeter was last seen heading toward the Kentucky State Line on Ralston Road.
