Dover, Tenn.–“Ready…Fire! A Cannon Crew Experience”
Ever wondered what it was like to serve on a Civil War–era cannon crew? Join a ranger on Saturday, May 2, at 11:00 a.m. to learn how artillerists worked together to load and fire a cannon. During the program, visitors can take part in a mock cannon loading drill.
The program takes place at Porter’s Battery, located across from the visitor center parking lot at 120 Fort Donelson Park Road, Dover,.
