Big Day At Helping Hand: 25 Slates, $23,048 Raised

Paris, Tenn.–With 25 slates of donations, $23,048 was raised at the Henry County Helping Hand Radio Auction Monday, bringing the overall total to $175,930.

Auctioneer Ray Compton said there are 16 items from the groups which donated to be auctioned Tuesday, so the actual total will be higher once that is calculated. Manning the phones were members of the Athena Delphian Club.

Donating items for Monday’s auction were First Christian Church, Literacy Council, and rescheduled Center community and Interrail Signal.

Tuesday’s items will be donated by veterans organizations VFW Post, Amvets, Darkhorse Lodge, American Legion and Parks Elks.

Wednesday’s items will be donated by Covenant Ranch, Cub Scout Pack 28, Walmart, New Wave Buddy Ball, Tennessee Valley Association of Realtors, and rescheduled Commercial Bank & Trust.
