The Christmas holiday season has officially begun for Union City Schools.

Pre-K students from UC Elementary School presented their annual Christmas program on Monday night at the Union City High School Gymnasium.

Under the direction of UCES music teacher Katie Tohn, the group of young students sang a handful of traditional Christmas songs to the delight of a large crowd of family and friends, officially kicking off a variety of school presentations over the next two weeks.

Other performances on the UC Schools schedule include the annual Union City Middle School band’s Christmas concert, slated for Sunday at 2 p.m., at the Civic Auditorium.

Three joint performances by UCES kindergartners and the Voices of Union City Elementary School are slated for Tuesday, December 16. The presentations are scheduled for 9 a.m., noon, and 1:30 p.m. at the UCES gymnasium.

The Voices group will also perform at the Union City Rotary Club on Friday, and carol at other venues.
