A collection of Union City High School students was right at home with other esteemed members of the All-Northwest Tennessee Honor Choir.
Nine UCHS students not only fit in but also stood out in the talented group of singers that performed last weekend.
Five members of the UC contingent placed in the Top 10 of their voice parts, with four students ranking in the Top 5 of their section.

Finch was recognized for being selected to the choir for three years, while Gary was lauded for being chosen to participate in each of his four years of high school.
Nearly 500 West Tennessee students auditioned for the group in September, with relatively half that number (240) chosen for the ensemble.
The students participated in a three-day intensive rehearsal held in Jackson, culminating in a final performance at Freed Hardeman University under the direction of Dr. Frances Cathlina from The University of Memphis.
“I am super proud of these students,” said UCHS Choir and Theater teacher Allison Butner. “We had nine to audition for the group, and all nine were selected. That’s very impressive.”
