
William Arnett “Riley” Mohon, Jr., age 95 of Paris, TN, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at his residence in Paris, TN. Riley had been President and CEO of Mohon International for 40 years and was instrumental in the development of The Tennessean Golf Club.
Riley was born in Puryear, TN, on August 25, 1930, to the late William Arnett “Arney” Mohon, Sr., and the late Flossie Champion Mohon.
On November 18, 1950, he married Levada Wasson Mohon, who preceded him in death on June 13, 2012.
Riley was a lifelong member of First Christian Church-Paris and an active member of the Henry County community. He was a long-time member of the Paris Rotary Club and an avid supporter of Henry County Helping Hand. He also served in the U.S. Air Force.
Riley was the President and CEO of Mohon International for 40 years. He had a passion for golf and was instrumental in the development of The Tennessean Golf Club in 1999, on the land purchased with partner, Jack Nichols.
He is survived by his spouse, Dorma Grossnickle of Paris, TN; two sons, Steve (Glenda) Mohon of Buchanan, TN, and Dr. Ricky T. (Donna) Mohon of College Grove, TN; six grandchildren, Rhonda Ross, Keely (Jackson) Mohon-Doyle, Rory (Clint) Schaff, Cody Mohon (Fiancé Dan Connors), Rikki (Grant) Taylor, and Tiffany (Randall) Mohon-Bishop; nine great-grandchildren, Chase Travis, Froyja Schaff, Riley Taylor, Tamsin Taylor, Auggie Taylor, Taylor Bishop, Zoey Bishop, Logan Bishop, and Dalton Bishop.
In addition to his wife and his parents, Riley was preceded in death by one son, Randy Wayne Mohon; and one sister, Ada Moela Miller.
Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., and continue Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Rev. Caren Tiechmann officiating.
Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Randall Bishop, Clint Schaff, Dan Connors, Rob Nichols, Grant Taylor, and Frazier Allen serving as pallbearers.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Sam Tharpe, Gayle Griffith, Jack Nichols, and Tommy Swor.
