As part of the City of Paris’ Brooks Street Drainage Improvement Project, a portion of Brooks Street at Atkins Drive will be temporarily closed beginning Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 7 AM.
This closure will allow crews to safely complete a sewer line relocation that is an essential part of the project. The affected portion of Brooks Street is expected to remain closed through the end of the day Friday, October 24, weather permitting.
Access Information
- Homes northwest of the closure should use the Mineral Wells entrance.
- Homes southeast of the closure should use the temporary access road connecting Lark Street to Mockingbird Lane.

The City appreciates the community’s patience as we continue making needed improvements to the Brooks Street drainage system. Additional closures may occur throughout the duration of the project, and updates will be shared as they are scheduled.
