Camden, Tenn.–Benton County Commissioner Stephen Stokes was taken into custody this afternoon. Benton County Sheriff Kenny Christopher told us that deputies arrested Stokes at his home.

An arrest warrant had been issued for Benton County Commissioner Stephen Stokes after he was a no-show at his scheduled court date on the charge of sexual battery with a minor. The Benton County Circuit Court officials said Stokes was set to appear in court Monday, August 11.
