
Jerry Lynn Cunningham, 86, of Troy passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
Graveside services will be conducted 12:00 p.m. Wednesday at Ebenezer Cemetery near Troy.
There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.
Pallbearers will be Samuel Cunningham, Eli Cunningham, Caleb Barker, Larry Albright, Larry Cunningham and Shane Powers.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Ebenezer Cemetery Association, c/o Kay Fultz, 903 Ebenezer Road, Troy, Tennessee 38260.
Jerry was born July 31, 1939, in Obion County, son of the late Fred Neal and Mildred (Pitts) Cunningham. He married Mary Nell (Lovett) Cunningham September 21, 1957. She preceded him in death April 27, 2009. Jerry lived his entire life within the Ebenezer community where he engaged in many aspects of agriculture; however, his happiest times were watching his grandchildren grow up on the farm and working his mules to the wagon at Wranglers Camp, right there.
He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lynn and Scott Barker of Hornbeak; his son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Julie Cunningham of Troy; five grandchildren, Caleb Barker and wife Teresa of Hornbeak, Molly Baker and husband Doug of Obion, Kelsey Loar and husband Bob of Brandon, Mississippi, Eli Cunningham and fiance’ Rylie Brasher and Samuel Cunningham all of Troy; Louise LeCroy of Benton, Arkansas, Teeny King, Joanne Dial and Larhue Petty and husband Johnny all of Troy; and one brother, Freddie Cunningham and wife Janis of Troy.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Kathleen King; and two brothers, Bascom Cunningham and Ralph Brown Cunningham.
