
Marshall County, Ky.–First responder agencies have resumed search and recovery operations this morning in the search for a swimmer who went under and never resurfaced Wednesday in Johnathan Creek in Marshall County, Ky.
Marshall County Rescue Squad responded to a call for a woman yelling for help in the water near Johnathan Creek. A couple stopped their boat and jumped in to swim and the boat floated away. A witness on scene kept yelling at her to keep swimming and she made it to the dock. The witness then called 911 and a responder was able to get her out of the water, but a male subject was swimming to the dock but went under and never resurfaced.
Agencies will resume search and recovery operations in the morning, agencies on scene with the Rescue Squad were, South Marshall Fire Dept., East Marshall Fire Dept., Fairdealing Fire Dept., McCracken County Rescue and Emergency Management, Lyon County Search Team, Ky. Fish and Wildlife, Marshall County EMS, Marshall County Sheriff’s Dept., Marshall County Coroners Office,and Marshall County Emergency Management, and handling calls and radio traffic, our Marshall County 911 dispatchers.
