Bethel Obion County Students Home From Trip Of A Lifetime

From Bethel University Global Studies:
What happens when you give high school students a passport, a journal, a full scholarship, and a world-class itinerary? They don’t just see the world, they begin to understand it.
Last week, twelve Bethel University Dual Enrollment students from Obion County explored London, Paris, and Lucerne – learning about Buckingham Palace traditions, standing atop the Swiss Alps, cruising the Seine, making macarons in Paris … and more!
Travel doesn’t just build memories, it builds leaders. It increases confidence, deepens perspective, and prepares students for the global challenges ahead.
This life-changing journey was made possible by the Union City Rotary Club and the Kirkland Foundation, which has been making travel dreams come true for West Tennessee students since the year these students were born.
To Rotary and Kirkland, thank you for making this possible and for letting me lead. The greatest joy of my job isn’t the places, it’s the people.
Huge thanks to our dream team chaperones, George and Shiloh Leake, who kept us fed, focused, and moving – through the heat, the crowds, and the 80+ miles we walked!
Whew! Y’all, I’m still tired from it all but oh so happy. Already dreaming of next year!
