Registered Sex Offender, Anthony Hogue, age 64, who was convicted of Rape, has been revoked to serve his 20-year sentence at 100% in the Tennessee Department of Correction, after a violation of probation hearing held in the Circuit Court of Gibson County at Trenton, before the Honorable Judge Clayburn Peeples.
The Rape case involved an older victim, who had a previous consensual sexual relationship with the defendant and who resided with him during the offense. The victim reported that the Defendant continued to have sexual contact with her without her consent. Unfortunately, the elderly victim had serious health issues leading up to the trial date, which impeded her in-person testimony at trial, both physically and mentally. The victim has since passed away.
After the defendant served over 2 years pretrial jail time, our Office agreed to a 20-year sentence with strict Sex Offender Supervision, Sex Offender Registry, and Community Supervision for Life. The defendant failed to comply with required Sex Offender Treatment, resulting in the revocation of his sentence.

This specific case had witness and evidentiary challenges that necessitated a plea resolution to ensure accountability that the defendant complied with Sex Offender requirements under a lengthy sentence. Once he failed to comply, we pursued the full revocation of his sentence. Our Office works very hard to evaluate cases, especially those involving violent crimes, to obtain an optimal result weighing all the relevant factors because we hold our duty to protect the community utmost in our goals. The defendant is now in the custody of the Tennessee Department of Correction serving his 20-year sentence.”
