Dyer County, Tenn.–The Zion Hill Baptist Church in Dyer County was destroyed by fire Friday. Sheriff Jeff Box posted a message about the ‘devastating fire’ on the sheriff office’s Facebook page:
Dear Community,
This morning, we were saddened to learn about the devastating fire that destroyed the Zion Hill Baptist Church building. Our thoughts and prayers are with the church leadership, its members, and everyone affected by this unfortunate incident.
Zion Hill has been a pillar of our community, providing support, hope, and faith to many. While the physical structure is gone, the spirit of the church and its mission will endure.
We want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the emergency crews, including the fire departments, who responded swiftly to this situation. Your dedication and bravery in protecting our community do not go unnoticed.
We stand united with the church during this challenging time. If there is anything we can do to assist or support you, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Together, we will help rebuild what has been lost.
