Union City, Tenn.–Guy Robbins has made significant contributions to horticulture throughout his career, serving as curator for the Memphis Botanic Garden, advisor for Cheekwood Gardens and head of grounds for the University of Tennessee at Martin. As a longtime mentor to Discovery Park’s grounds director John Watkins, his expertise has greatly influenced the development of our stunning landscapes.
This beautiful new garden, located near the bridge on the south side of the Heritage Park, will showcase many rare and unusual varieties of hosta, inspired by Robbins himself.
Join Discovery Park of America for a special ceremony as they honor Mr. Robbins with the dedication of the Guy Robbins Hosta Garden on Wednesday, June 11 at 2 p.m. Everyone invited.
