Ms. Sandra “Kay” Atwill, 82, of Union City passed away 5:35 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at her home.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday at East View Cemetery. Brother Ron Gray will officiate.
There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at service time.
Pallbearers will be Darryl Scarbrough, Steve Faulkner, Jamie Suiter, Marty Corum, Steve Farmer, Tony Kemp and Bob Hutchinson.
Kay was born September 20, 1942, in Union City, daughter of the late Ezra and Mattie (Carmichael) Gardiner. She worked for 33 years at the former Kroger Food Store in Union City and was a member of Second Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Trent Cary (Robin) of the Dixie community and Travis Cary of Winter Garden, Florida; two grandchildren, Tanner Cary (Brooke) of Union City and Tatum Fussell (Chandler) of Dyersburg; and four great grandchildren, Trace Cary, Job Fussell, Townes Cary and Jireh Fussell.
She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Winnie Siglow, Betty King, Dorothy Haynes and Mary Nell Phipps; and two brothers, Tony Wrady and Jimmy Siglow.
