Puryear, Tenn.–A big time was had at Puryear Day 2025 over the weekend. It saw the biggest crowd in years and with some 35 entries in the parade. Gregory Dan Story was the Grand Marshal, and there were lots of games, vendors, activities, good food, karaoke, Holly Pop, and more. Several fire departments participated in the parade, including Puryear, Cottage Grove, Como/Ore Springs, Paris Landing, Mansfield, plus the Forestry Service. The Henry County High School Marching Patriots entertained during the parade, there was live music from the James Greer Band, the Fajita Brothers, the Puryear Fire Department hosted an open house and organizers served a birthday cake for the town of Puryear to everyone.
