Paris, Tenn.–The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is launching a death investigation after the body of a women was found in a parking lot.
Sheriff Josh Frey said, “On the morning of May 10, a call was received of a possible body in the parking lot of Gin Creek Wildlife Management Area on Copper Springs Road. Officers did locate the body of a deceased female in the parking lot.”
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation along with the 24th Judicial District Attorney’s Office were contacted and began to assist with the investigation. The case is still under investigation and next of kin notification is pending.
Frey said, “As new information is obtained we’ll update this press release. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office feels this is an isolated incident and that there’s no threat to the public at this time. If anyone has any information please contact the Henry County Sheriff’s Office investigation division.”
