
Mr. Frank Southerland, 83, of Union City passed away 7:00 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2025, at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Carl Southerland and Brother Charles Southerland will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be his brothers.
Frank was born January 8, 1942, in Lake County, son of the late Charlie Thomas and Beulah Estelle (Parish) Southerland. After retiring as a farmer, he enjoyed working on lawn mowers and selling produce at his home. He was a member of Walnut Log Baptist Church and had been a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church in Union City where he taught Sunday school for many years. He also taught Sunday school at many area nursing homes. Frank trusted Jesus as his savior at 36 years old and loved being with his family.
He is survived by one son, Paul Southerland (Candace) of Martin; one step son, Eddie Fleming (Misty) of Obion; three grandchildren, Hunter Southerland of Martin, Cody Southerland of Martin and Levi Fleming of Obion; five sisters, Betty Kay Burress of Kenton, Rita Allen of Martinville, Indiana; Diane Wilson of Dyersburg, Annie Mosier of Rives and Debbie Marvin of Union City; nine brothers, Charles Southerland of Union City, Carl Southerland of Ridgely, Bill Southerland of Samburg, Jessie Southerland of Union City, Jerry Southerland of Hornbeak, Ricky Southerland of Spring Hill, Roy Southerland of Jerome, Michigan, David Southerland of Albion, Michigan and Greg Southerland of Martin; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Daniel Southerland.
