Henry County MLK Day Activities Announced

 
Paris, Tenn.—The Henry County Ministerial Association is sponsoring its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration with several activities, including prayer breakfast, march, luncheon and more. Martin Luther King Jr. Day is Monday, January 15.
The activities begin at 6 p.m. Sunday night at the new Mt. Zion Church at 401 Irvine Street with a Musical presentation with special guests, the University of Tennessee at Martin Gospel Choir “The Voices of Harmony”.
The annual prayer breakfast will be held from 7-9:30 a.m. Monday, January 15, at the Central Services Building on Jones Bend Road Extended in Paris. That will be followed with the annual march starting at the old Mt. Zion Church on Rison Street to the Henry County Courthouse.
The courthouse program will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and will include presentations by local pastors speaking on “Visions of Unity In Our Community”. The Drum Major For Justice Award will be presented and essay winners will be announced.
A luncheon will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Ketcham Hall in downtown Paris that will honor local ministers.
