Library Bookstore Catfish Needs A Name

Paris, Tenn.—The Friends of the W.G. Rhea Library Bookstore are sponsoring a “Name The Catfish Costume” contest.

According to Bookstore Manager Darcy Louer, the Rhea Library Catfish is smart—he uses the computer room at the library, reads books and magazines, buys books at the bookstore, takes computer classes. He encourages young readers to check out books and knows that his library card is his gateway to learning. But unfortunately, the Rhea Catfish is still searching for a name.

The Rhea Catfish will be making public appearances at area events in the future.

The entrant with the winning name, selected by the Friends board, will receive $50. Entry forms can be picked up at the Bookstore. The deadline is March 2 and you can submit the entries to Louer at the library bookstore (open Tuesday-Saturday) in person or by mail. Address is Bookstore, W.G. Rhea Library, 400 W. Washington St., Paris, 38242. No telephone entries accepted. All Henry County residents and library cardholders of all ages are eligible.
