Paris, Tenn.—The annual Henry County Helping Hand Radio Auction got off to a great start Monday, with $4,377 raised on the opening day. There were a total of 23 slates of items auctioned off, which Treasurer Susan Bell said was “wonderful” for an opening day.

The Helping Hand auction is broadcast daily on WTPR-AM 710 and on KQ105.5 for Saturday night auctions.
Today’s items were donated by the Lakeway Kiwanis Club, Paris Lions Club and Paris Lioness Club, with Fred McLean serving as auctioneer.

Tuesday’s items will be donated by the Martha Chapter OES, Paris Lodge 108, Buchanan Lodge 772, Masonic Lodge 109, Forever Friends, Henry County Fair Association and the Future Farmers of America. Auctioneer will be Cindy Snyder.

Donated items are accepted until 9 a.m. each day. Auction phone is 644 1695.

The auction raises thousands of dollars each year for dozens of non-profit organizations in Henry County. This year’s Helping Hand runs through February 28. The auction is held at the Henry County Fairgrounds.
