Paris, Tenn.—A Henry County ambulance worker is still in the emergency room this morning at Vanderbilt Medical Center following a collision between an HCMC ambulance and a semi on Hwy. 79S last night.
Ambulance worker Wes Profitt was airlifted to Vanderbilt following the accident and no condition report was available.
According to a spokesperson at Henry County Medical Center, the ambulance was transporting a patient when the accident occurred. The patient who was being transported is fine, according to the spokesperson, and was transported by McKenzie EMS following the accident.
The accident occurred near Kenny’s Meat Market.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol investigated the accident but has not released the full report yet. More details on the accident will be reported when the report is released.
