Danny Lee Summers, Sr., 75, of Rives passed away 10:00 p.m. Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 27, 2024, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Pastor Robin Rotgers will officiate. Burial will follow in Stanley’s Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m.until the hour of services Friday, December 27, 2024.

Pallbearers will be Brayden Rollins, Joshua Rollins, P.J. Bomar, Trey Summers, Jackson Summers and Zak Summers.

Danny was born September 21, 1949, in Weakley County, son of the late Gilbert and Willie Lee (Tabor) Summers. He had been employed as manager of the former Vickers Service Station and had been a school bus driver for Obion County School System for 9 years. Danny served in the United States Army and was of the Assembly of God faith.

He is survived by two sons, Danny Summers, Jr. and wife Angela and Bobby Summers and wife Samantha all of Rives; five grandchildren, Autumn Summers, Deanna Summers, Madison Summers Tarver and husband James, Brittany Rollins and husband Josh and Michael Summers; nine great grandchildren; and his former wife, Judy Coleman of Newbern.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Summers, Junior Burress and W.P. Burress; and one great grandson, Able Tarver.
