The question of ‘where’ has been answered for Union City.
The Golden Tornadoes will travel to Crump Stadium in Memphis Friday night to play Memphis Academy of Science & Engineering (MASE) in the Class 1A state quarterfinals.
The venue will be the same as last year when the two teams played in Round 2, with UC escaping with a 35-34 victory.
Both teams are state-ranked heading into this year’s contest – the Twisters (10-2) coming in at No. 3, while MASE is 10-1 and ranked sixth. The winner of the game will host either No. 1 McKenzie (12-0) or Richland (9-3) in the semifinals the day after Thanksgiving (Nov. 29).
