Paris, Tenn.–The Henry County Tourism Authority voted to donate $15,000 to the Levi Miles Foundation for its planned Inclusive Playground in Paris.

The HCTA met in regular session Monday morning at the county courthouse.

The Levi Miles Foundation has already raised some $800,000 toward the $2.5M they need to complete the project. The Foundation has partnered with the city of Paris to develop a state of the art inclusive playground at Ogburn Park in Paris.

David and Shayna Miles created the Levi Miles Foundation, envisioning building a play space where ALL children could play together side-by-side. The new playground will welcome children and families of all backgrounds and abilities.

The Miles couple selected Ogburn Park as the oldest park in Paris, which has served families for decades. The playground will include a Legacy Wall dedicated to their late son Levi; benches with shade; a toddler zone; playhouse village; log crawl, Eiffel Tower, Glide Zone, turf surfacing, accessible merry-go-round and much more.

In other business, the HCTA board also voted to provide up to $10,000 for next year’s Bill Dance Fishing Tournament at Paris Landing.
