Wind Chill Advisory Issued For Our Area

 
The National Weather Service has issued an alert for our area, warning of the Wind Chill Advisory and High Impact Weather Event we will be experiencing as an arctic blast hits here.
 
Temperatures will begin to plunge around sunset tonight with an overnight low of 10 degrees tonight.
 
The wind chill advisory is in effect from 9 p.m. Sunday to noon Monday, with wind chills of negative 10 to zero degrees expected for West Tennessee, as well as East Arkansas, North Mississippi, the Missouri Bootheel.
 
According to the National Weather Service, the cold wind chills Sunday night will cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes to exposed skin. Frost bite and hypothermia can occur if precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and gloves.
