Springville, Tenn.–The wood duck banding season has just wrapped up for the Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge. US Fish & Wildlife Service Waterfowl Biologist Clayton Ferrell reported a banner year with a total of 1,500 wood ducks banded this year. That is only 100 ducks shy of the all time record that this refuge set in 2022! Great job to the many many community volunteers and children that have come out to make this season of wood duck banding another memorable one!
