Registration for the Tennessee Naturalist Program at Discovery Park of America has been extended to Wednesday, Aug. 21. To register, please email Jennifer Wildes at jwildes@discoveryparkofamerica.com. The classes are open for adults ages 18 and older and will be held on Saturdays beginning Aug. 24 at 9 a.m. There will be two night classes this year, as well.
The mission of the Tennessee Naturalist Program is to teach Tennesseans about nature in the state, instill an appreciation of responsible environmental stewardship and channel volunteer efforts toward education of the general public and conservation of Tennessee’s natural resources. Individuals who complete Discovery Park’s TNP course will gain an understanding of native ecosystems throughout the state.
The 11 classes are limited to just 20 participants and costs $350. To register, please email Jennifer Wildes at jwildes@
