State Representative Rusty Grills has successfully retained his seat in the 77th District, encompassing Obion, Lake, and Dyer Counties.
In the recent State and Federal Primary election, Grills delivered a strong performance against his challenger, James T. “Bubba” Cobb. Grills secured a commanding victory with an unofficial total of 4,169 votes, while Cobb garnered 1,660 votes.
Grills expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support from residents across the three counties following the announcement of the final results last night.
The breakdown of votes by county is as follows:
– In Obion County, Grills received 1,249 votes compared to Cobb’s 408.
– In Dyer County, Grills obtained 2,437 votes, while Cobb received 1,121.
– In Lake County, Grills achieved 483 votes, with Cobb trailing at 131.
