
Paris, Tenn.–Friday is the day for the Olympic Block Party at Eiffel Tower Park in Paris.
City officials said, “Since we had last minute entries for the parade at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, we wanted to extend the deadline to enter the parade until Thursday, July 25 at noon. If you are an organization or business be sure to consider entering the parade to get your name out there. Prizes will be given for best flag and costume! The prize will be a $150.00 donation to your chosen local non-profit so this is your chance to make a difference!

The party begins on Friday evening, July 26 at 5 p.m. with DJ Goodnews. He will be entertaining the crowd before Paris, Tennessee’s Olympic Parade, which begins at 6 p.m. He will also be entertaining everyone and playing some Olympic trivia so to all of you trivia buffs, this is your chance to show out.
Leading the parade will be Bill Lynch who lives here in Paris and was invited to tryout for the Olympics in table tennis.
The schedule: DJ Good News 5-7 p.m.; 5-9 p.m. Food trucks; 6 p.m. Olympic parade; 7-9 Ray Lewis Band to perform; 8 p.m. Splash Park opens for free. The Olympic opening ceremonies from Paris, France, will be livestreamed all evening.
City officials are looking for anyone else with ties to any of the past or even present Olympic games. If you know of someone or have any information you might want to share, private message them on the city of Paris Facebook page.
