Paris, TN – Paris Board of Public Utilities is announcing the launch of its inaugural initiative, the Paris BPU Customer Academy, dedicated to providing our community members with an exclusive insider’s view of our local utility operations.
Curious about how your local utility works? Want a behind-the-scenes look at everything from the Office to the Wastewater Treatment Plant? Then the Paris BPU Customer Academy is for you! This immersive program aims to enlighten participants about the intricacies of utility management and service provision.
“We are excited to share the inner workings of our operating utility with the first class of twelve attendees,” according to Paris BPU President & CEO, Terry Wimberley. “Participants will get an in-depth look into all departments and how we put it all together to serve Paris and Henry County.”
Key Details of the Paris BPU Customer Academy:
- Duration: The program will run from September 24 to October 29.
- Schedule: Weekly classes will be held on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Application Period: Applications will be accepted from June 1 through July 1.
- Cost: The classes are offered free of charge.
Throughout the six-week program, participants will have the opportunity to engage with industry experts, tour our facilities, and gain valuable insights into the day-to-day operations of Paris BPU. From understanding utility infrastructure to learning about conservation efforts and customer service protocols, attendees will emerge equipped with a deeper understanding of how our utility serves the community.
