The man charged in the 2014 murder of a Graves County mother and her teenage son has been convicted in the mother’s death in Ohio.
A jury convicted 44-year-old Terry Froman, of Metropolis, Illinois, Tuesday for the murder of his ex-girlfriend, 34-year-old Kim Thomas, of Mayfield.
Investigators say in September of 2014, Froman killed Thomas’ son, 17-year-old Eli Mohney at their home in Mayfield, and kidnapped Thomas.
They say he then shot and killed Thomas during a stand-off with authorities in Cincinnati.
Sentencing for Froman is set for Thursday where he faces the death penalty.
After Thursday’s sentencing, prosecutors in Kentucky can begin the process to charge Froman for Mohney’s murder.
