Pamela J. Sparks

Pamela J. Sparks, 73, of Puryear, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Pam was born Saturday, January 20, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Emma J. Snyder Nance and the late Lathan Dale “Red” Nance. Besides her parents, Pam was also preceded in death by a sister: Linda Nance.

She enjoyed spending time with her cousins, traveling, listening to music, attending concerts, and gardening.

Pam was always taking care of others.

She was most proud of her son, Travis.

She traveled all over watching him play basketball.

She spent several months getting her house ready for his wedding day and was extremely proud of that day.

Pam is survived by one son: Travis Nance (Amelia Kate) Sparks, of Paris, Tennessee; special family friend: John Curry; special cousins: Gary and Alura Young, of Knoxville, Tennessee; cousin: Melissa Green; and step grandson: Tate Lee.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, Tennessee, is handling arrangements.

Visitation will be at Ridgeway Funeral Home Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m.

Mike Wimberley will officiate.

Pallbearers for the service will be Sam Hutson, David Bell, Austin Thompson, Matt McWherter, Tate Lee, and Kevin Bomar.

Burial will follow in Price Cemetery in the Hico Community.
