Paris, Tenn.–For those caught in a motor vehicle in Paris when the torrential rains hit this afternoon, traveling was a hazardous exercise. Henry County Court Clerk Mike Wilson was on the way back to work when he took this photo of the flash flooding on East Wood Street. At least two inches of rain fell in just the first few minutes of the storm, with strong rain still coming as of 2:48 p.m. County EMA Director Ron Watkins said flash flooding is being reported all over Paris and other parts of the county and that Henry County is under a severe weather watch until 7 p.m. (Mike Wilson photo).
