Dover, Tenn.–Fort Donelson National Battlefield is looking for some volunteers!
Fort Donelson rangers are looking for volunteers to help them place a U.S. flag at each headstone at Fort Donelson National Cemetery. This is an event that happens every year just prior to Memorial Day.
If you are interested in helping out, or have any questions, please give them a call at the Fort Donelson Visitor Center at 1-931-232-5706×0.
Volunteers will meet at the Fort Donelson National Cemetery on Friday, May 24th, at 2:00pm. The cemetery is located at 174 National Cemetery Drive, Dover.
Participants are encouraged to wear appropriate footwear and to bring water.
Any potential updates or necessary rescheduling due to weather will be posted on the park Facebook page.
They appreciate your consideration in helping to honor those represented by the 1,717 grave markers of the Fort Donelson National Cemetery.
