Texas Hill, the five-piece band made up of founding members Casey James, Adam Wakefield, and the group’s newest additions, Bart Walker, Louis Winfield, and Clark Singleton are bringing their unique sound to The Dixie Carter PAC on Saturday, May 11 at 7:30pm.
Wakefield (runner-up during Season 10 of The Voice) blends his raspy bluesy vocals with James (3rd place finisher on Season 9 of American Idol) soulful country sound with newcomers Walker on guitar (Hank Williams Jr., Double Trouble, Royal Southern Brotherhood), Winfield on drums (Bon Jovi, Little Big Town, Mike Farris), and Singleton on bass (Heavy Heavy Hearts, Jared James Nichols) to create musical euphoria.
From the Grand Ole Opry stage to CMA Fest to The Dixie Carter PAC, in supergroup Texas Hill the music leads. The new cast of characters and their “see-it-to-believe-it” attitude are embarking on a mission together to further experiment, explore, and refine the band’s unique sound both on the road and in the studio. Texas Hill’s highly anticipated debut album Heaven Down Here was released on January 21, 2022. Sounds like Nashville praised the project, “With its real-life-inspired lyricism and multi-genre stylistic influences-which melds soul, R&B, country, southern rock, and even some Memphis blues-Heaven Down Here encapsulates the true spirit of down-home music…an easy-listen and strong appeal to both country and non-country fans”.
With the recording of their sophomore album underway, Texas Hill is sure to bring their melting pot of blues, country, and southern rock sound together all in one timeless musical collection. Follow Texas Hill on Facebook to hear snip-its of their harmonically rich songs such as “Lay It On Me” and “Givin’ Up On You”.
