Man Arrested For String Of Thefts Over $100,000

Graves County, Ky.–A man who has been sought for thefts of over $100,000 worth of vehicles, tractors and other items in the area recently was arrested Tuesday in Graves County.
Ricky W. Cook, age 45, Clear Springs, Ky., was charged with a long list of crimes involving theft, forgery, burglary, criminal mischief, and possession of guns by a felon.
At approximately 4:30pm, surveillance of an area Cook was believed to have been frequenting was underway when deputies observed him driving eastbound on KY Hwy 58 near the airport.
As a traffic stop was being initiated, Cook sped up to speeds at approximately 100 mph, then slowed and stopped. He was taken into custody without any further incident.
Cook was being sought in connection to a theft investigation involving over $100,000 dollars worth of vehicles, tractors, and other items.
Arrested: Cook, Ricky W. Age 45
Of the Clear Springs area of Graves Co.

~Theft of Property valued at over $10,000 but under 1 million.
~Theft by Deception over $10,000
~Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree
~Burglary 3rd Degree
~Criminal Mischief 1st
~Criminal Trespass 1st Degree
~Possession of Handguns by a Felon
~Possession of Firearms by a Felon
The investigation is continuing. Cook was transported and lodged at an out of county detention center.
