Henry County Emergency Management will be hosting the National Weather Service-Memphis on Wednesday, November 8 at 6 pm for an in-person storm spotter workshop.
Henry County EMA Director Ron Watkins said, “I understand this is Wed night church service time, but still wanted to extend an invitation.”
This class will teach weather basics and more technical ways to identify severe weather and tornado safety. Henry County EMA will present local emergency warning options to be alerted during dangerous weather events.
The workshop will be held at the EMA office 204 N. Brewer St Paris. Trained spotters will have opportunity to join the Skywarn network to report dangerous weather to local EMA and the NWS Memphis.
Please share with your personnel, club members, and friends. It is free and open to the public of all ages.
