Lavonne Ray, 84, of Snellville, Georgia, passed away at 1:15 a.m. Monday, October 30, 2023, at Cambridge Post Acute Care in Snellville, Georgia.
Lavonne was born Wednesday, July 26, 1939, in Union City, daughter of the late Finis and Louise (Bookout) Garner. She was also preceded in death by her son, Vince Ray.
She was a former member of First Baptist Church in Union City.
She is survived by one son: Van Ray (Nell), of Union City; one grandson: Justin Ray of Atlanta, Georgia; and one brother: Mike Garner (Ruthie), of Albany, Georgia.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday at Obion County Memorial Gardens. Father Carl Gregorich will officiate.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.
