Springville, Tenn.–Over 200 folks attended the first-ever Walk for the Wild event held this past weekend at the Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge in Springville. Several agencies had activity booths set up: TVA, Paris Landing State Park, TWRA, National Guard, UT Martin Wildlife Society, Paris Parks & Rec Department and Civil Air Patrol. Refuge officials said, “We especially appreciate the Friends of Tennessee NWR for hosting and the generosity of the Tennessee Valley Authority for helping to make this day possible.” In photo, Ranger Gina Lowry of Paris Landing State Park, talks about the different types of critters that can be found at the park.
