Members of the 2023 Union City Middle School football team were honored with a season-ending banquet Monday night.
Head coach Cole Clanton and his staff recognized more than 50 players from this year’s squad, lauding them for their effort, work ethic, and commitment before a large crowd of family members and supporters.
UCMS coaches presented three ‘Twister Awards’ to deserving players who exhibited servant leadership qualities and great character throughout the season.
Among those honored were:
Jack Theobald – 8th Grade
John Matt Morgan – 8th Grade
Brayden Marshall – 7th Grade
Additionally, it was announced that Morgan – UC’s starting center – has been selected to represent the Tornado program in the annual West Tennessee Middle School All-Star Game to be played at West Carroll High School on Nov. 4.
