Celebrating 100 Years Of The Toggery

 
Paris, Tenn.—The Toggery—the oldest business in Paris—was honored Friday on its 100th anniversary.  The celebration was held on the lawn of the Henry County Courthouse, complete with family and friends from far and wide, balloons, 100 cupcakes, and chocolate treats shaped like ties. Paris-Henry County Chamber of Commerce Director Mark Johnson sang a self-penned song for the Hopkins ‘ called “100 Years of Tradition”, and County Mayor Brent Greer issued a proclamation naming today The Toggery Day. The Toggery is the oldest business in Paris and is located on the court square in Paris and family members of the Hopkins and of the previous owners, the Beard and Currier families, were on hand.
