Dresden, Tenn.–Nearly 300 students attended another wonderful Farm Day. Hosted by Ogg Farms, Farm Bureau and Weakley County Young Farmers and Ranchers, Weakley County Schools 4th grade students from across the county enjoyed another perfect weather day for this special annual event. This day is a favorite that features presentations with informative and interactive learning all about agriculture and farming. Included were presentations from Tosh Farms in Henry and Camp Castillo Farms in Routon. Students learned about cotton, insects and life cycles, hogs, grain, beef cattle, pumpkins, bees, equipment, growing your own food, forestry, goats and dairy, corn, soil conservation, education options and careers in agriculture, and much more. This day is a huge collaboration to educate students and requires a lot of organizing and planning. Many thanks to all of the phenomenal sponsors, presenters, hosts, and planners for this wonderful, educational day. (Weakley Co. Schools photo).
