Paris, Tenn.–Benton County Economic Development Director Jennifer Wheatley will be keynote speaker for Friday’s Class of 2023 Summer Graduation at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Paris.
Commencement exercises will be held at 6 p.m. at the Krider Performing Arts Center at 650 Volunteer Dr. in Paris.
Wheatley previously served as a Marketing and Sustainability Director of the Lakes Region Coalition at Land Between the Lakes and Executive Director of the Paris-HenryCounty Chamber of Commerce. She also was a previous Feature Writer for the Jackson Sun and Communication Director for the Jackson, Tennessee, Chamber of Commerce.
Wheatley has a bachelor’s degree in English/Journalism from Union University, Jackson, and is a graduate of the US Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for Organizational Management.
She has completed the Southeast Tourism Association’s Marketing College and is a Certified Tennessee
Tourism Professional. She is also a WestStar regional leadership graduate and a TVA Rural Leadership
Institute graduate. She participates in annual continuing education offered by the State of Tennessee’s
Governor’s Conference and the Tennessee Hospitality and Tourism Association.
