Murray, Ky.–A Murray man was arrested for DUI and his car ended up hanging on a 6-foot ledge at the Sonic drive-thru in a Sunday afternoon accident.
At approximately 5 PM, the Murray Police Department was called to Sonic for a collision. When officers arrived, they noticed a vehicle that had driven off the north side of the parking lot, through a fence and was hanging on a 6 ft ledge.
Officers spoke with Donnie Thomas, age 71, of Murray and he said he was exiting the parking lot when he suddenly lost consciousness. Thomas was safely removed from the vehicle by Murray Fire Department.
Thomas was arrested at the scene for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol (DUI) and the vehicle was safely removed from the ledge with the assistance of Max’s Towing and Murray Fire Department.
