Huntingdon, Tenn.–The Carroll County Ag Mentoring Program finished its program year with a final one-day leadership event. Students from Carroll County 4-H, Huntingdon FFA, and Clarksburg FFA joined together to attend workshops on time management, leadership, communication and networking, and manners and etiquette.

Guest speakers included former State 4-H and State FFA Officer Taylor Cantrell and former regional FFA officer Preston Pooler of Paris. Part of the activities focused on service and all of the students in attendance worked together to make over 200 grab n’ go activity bags that will be donated to the Carroll County library for youth-related programs. There are nine different activity bags in total including activities from arts and crafts to healthy living, science and agriculture.

To end the day, students broke into their school programs to plan events and activities for the upcoming year. The Carroll County 4-H Ag Mentoring Program was made possible by the National 4-H Mentoring Grant.
