
UPDATED: The vehicle has been recovered and it appears to be an early 90’s Chevrolet Camero, according to Sheriff Josh Frey. “This is an open investigation at this time.”
Springville, Tenn.–The Heny County Sheriff’s Office, TWRA, Henry County EMA and a dive team have been working at the scene of a vehicle submerged in the water at the Springville Pumphouse. They have been working in the general area of the boat ramp at the pumphouse.
Sheriff Josh Frey said, “By all accounts, it appears the suspected vehicle has been in the water for an extended length of time.”
As of 12:15 p.m. today, Frey said, the rear drive train of the vehicle has been pulled from the water “and we’re working to remove any other parts of the vehicle.”
The drive train appears to be from an early ’90s model GM car.
“We’ll update as new information is receive,” Frey said.
